Recent February Sightings

We have had several sightings of Skippy Lou around the Tulloss Road/Clovercroft Road area last week. This is in Franklin but very close to Brentwood and the Wilson Pike area. Please continue to keep an eye out and contact us with any and all sightings. Thanks so much! - Team Skippy Lou

About Our Search

Skippy Lou is a female Labrador mix dog belonging to Jill who is thankfully now cancer free after fighting both ovarian and uterine cancer. While Jill was undergoing a ten hour surgery for her cancer in August of 2011, Skippy Lou was lost from her pet sitter's home on Dogwood Court in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Today she is still missing but we believe that she could still be out there and could have traveled most anywhere during this time. A lot of her previous patterns have shown that she travels along rivers and streams as to stay near a water source. Also along easements, railroad tracks and power line areas. She also seems to favor wooded areas or along the edges of neighborhoods or home sites as she is most likely always trying to find food and safety.

She is a twelve year old, medium sized Labrador mix, copper/golden in color with a white muzzle. When she was lost, she was not yellow or white but more in the golden to copper color range. She has gold eyes and a liver colored nose. As she has been missing for six years, she may look much older than she does in her photos here.

When lost, she was wearing a pink polka-dotted collar and tags. Though, due to time lost, these may most likely be missing by now.

Skippy Lou could travel anywhere at this point as she has been missing for so long. Please do not rule out any areas. If you think that you have seen her at any time during her time lost, please let us know.

As she is normally skittish of people, please do not chase or call to her if seen. Please put out some smelly food such as pet food or meat so that she might stay in the area - and call us immediately while continuing to watch where she goes.
